Hello life-lovers

Foodie that I am one can always notice my social media handles usually show hogging on unique cuisines all around Dubai and India. This week I found myself amazed at the unique cuisines in Nom Nom Asia located in Karama.

About Nom Nom Asia:

The official website states-" At Nom Nom Asia we are inspired by the bold flavours of South-East Asia.We draw upon the lively street food culture - but with a twist.We bring to you the freshest ingredients and sizzling sauces to play with. Mix and match toppings and sauces to create a bowl which is as snazzy or soulful as you are. Then watch our chefs work their magic in the kitchen. Grade A Choice free-range Eggs, chicken, beef and seafood as well as freshly-grown produce are instrumental to the quality and flavour of our food. Well that and some exotic ingredients and secret spices. ( Shh, don’t tell !! ) We love our woks sizzling and our chow spicy."

The Ambiance:

Cladded in white and red, the walls with clean yet selective modern art decor is something that catches your eye the minute you walk in. As a photographer I love restaurants that has an eye for detail as it makes the job of a photographer all the more easy. The environment is definitely Instagram worthy and their white tables are perfect for flatlays. I understand my detailing might seem a bit over the top but Its not the first time I have admitted the fact that I am a sucker for clean white decor. Note that I have kept all my pics unedited in order to how you how authentically amazing this place is.

The Staff:

Super-friendly staff who was there to my every beck and call. I actually had the chance to chat and lunch with the owner and this made the experience all the more interesting. The chef was very polite and definitely did serve us with some amazing dishes.

The Food:

Let me start by saying that Nom Nom Asia is not your cliche chinese restaurant that serves you noodles and rice. It was definitely beyond that. Their fusion led to some innovative dishes that I have never tried before. What more? You can choose your dish from vegetarian to shrimps. This definitely did warm my heart. I tried the spring roll and iceberg lettuce wrap while mom tried the dumplings. I was amazed by the lettuce wrap as I have never tried anything like that before. I wouldnt explain much about it here as I would like you to have a first hand experience by trying it at the restaurant. If you are vegetarian you will fall in love with it. I then tried their noodles with extra spice and taste was amazing. But the dessert was the star of the show- Fried Ice Cream! Now I have tried fried ice cream but not quite like this before. It was definitely a sinful dessert loaded with chocolate syrup, icecream and cake. Drool worthy? Absolutely!
