Spice Mantraa - RESTAURANT REVIEW - BALI TRAVEL SERIES

Hello life-lovers

I recently had a press trip to Bali and I was really looking forward to trying out some amazing Indonesian food. But to my dismay all the food available were non-vegetarian and you can imagine how irritated I was. I thought perhaps I might have to live on finger chips and waffles. But luckily there was one Indian restaurant that served a good variety of vegetarian food as well - Spice Mantraa

The origin of Spice Mantraa is inspired by the timeless allure of Indian cuisine. This nouveau concept will take you on a global journey of classic dishes with a contemporary twist.
At Spice Mantraa one can taste the symphony of a creative Indian kitchen coupled with the playfulness of molecular gastronomy and avant-garde cuisine that will delight you with their complexity and wittiness.

What I loved the most about this place was the intricate decor. The restaurant definitely has an eye for detail and I absolutely loved the forest themed look. Quite spacious thus perfect for huge gatherings as well. I would definitely recommend you to sit outside and enjoy the breeze while sipping their delicious cocktails!

What I Tried -

CURRIED CAULIFLOWER ARANCINI

Addictive deep-fried, cauliflower Arancini, flavoured with curry powder and stuffed with mozzarella cheese. It literally melted in my mouth. Not to mention the tangy sauce that made the experience all the more wonderful

GOODNESS GOLGAPPA

A classic served like never before, crisp bite-sized puris, packed with potato, sprouts, tamarind chutney and jaljeera flavoured water. I have had plenty of Gol Gappa before but not one like this. The shooter part of it made it all the more exciting

KASHI VEGETABLE PULAO

Basmati rice punctuated with a delicately spiced medley of fine vegetables. Rice fan that I am this definitely sparked all my taste buds and was an absolute treat to my tummy.

CHARCOAL NAAN

A soft and smoky Indian bread with Japanese bamboo charcoal and fine flour, cooked in a clay oven. Loved the unique idea. Nothing like I have tasted before. Definitely worth a try!

JAL JEERE RUM

Spicy Rum, Jal Jeera Sharbet, Chaat Masala, Sweet Sour, Black Salt and Smoky Vaporize Water. The highlight of my evening.

SUGAR CANE COTTON CANDY MARTINI

Dark Rum, Sugar cane and Cotton candy. A treat for the eyes and soul! Another must-try
